COMPUTER SALES
If you are
considering buying a new computer, you need to decide which type of computer
is right for you. There are two choices, Desktop or Laptop. How can you
decide which is right for you? This is a very important question, as if you
make the wrong choice, you may end up very disappointed. There is for and
against both, and what you plan to do with your computer dictates which you
should opt for.
LAPTOPS
Laptops as a rule are designed for work on the move. If you work for a
company that requires you to have access to a computer anywhere, then a
Laptop is for you. Also if you are studying, a Laptop can be invaluable, as
you can use it both at college and at home. It’s lightweight, portable and
very convenient to use. Most new Laptops are enabled for Wireless, and
“Hotspots” are appearing everywhere, meaning you can access the Internet on
the go.
Pro’s: Portable, Lightweight, use On-The-Go, Compact, Convenient.
Cons: Delicate, Not ideal for sustained use, Not as powerful as a desktop,
Thief’s dream.
DESKTOPS
Desktop Computers are the “Workhorses” of the Computing world. These
machines can do everything a Laptop can do and more. Whatever your Computing
needs, a desktop can do the job for you. From typing and surfing, through to
image and video editing. For playing games, a Desktop is ideal.
Pro’s:
Reliable, Powerful, sturdy, Customisable, Upgradeable.
Cons: Not Portable, Bulky.

Desktops have been around for quite some time now, and there are plenty of
manufacturers to chose from. We believe that we at
HELP@HAND
offer the best value and service that you can get. If
you buy your new PC from a store, your guarantee is with the maker of your
PC, not with the shop you bought it from. This means that if you run into
trouble, you have to use their telephone support line. Most of the big
manufacturers tele-support centres are now located in Asia, making solving
technical problems a nightmare at best.
Our PC’s are built by us in Galway. We will talk with
you to find out what you want to use your new machine for, and then design
it and built it accordingly. This means that you actually get a computer
that is right for what you want.
A typical
starting system features an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor, 3 Gigabytes of RAM, a
500Gb Hard disk drive and a DVD
Writer. Also included is a Wireless Keyboard & Mouse, , along with a 19”
